ABOUT BILLY

Contemporary artist Billy Lake, now based in Sydney Australia, was raised in the sub tropic region of Byron Bay, Northern NSW. She has a wide range of subjects which reflect her interest in travel and pop culture.

After completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at the National School of Art, Billy spent many years travelling the globe and taking inspiration and delved even more into her painting practice.

She juxtaposes elements of reality together with surrealism using various mixed mediums. Her distinctive personal style emanates joy and expresses the vibrant spirit and atmosphere of her soul.

Billy brings an extensive influence of color theory, innate sense of rhythm, and compositional elements to each painting. Her art is visual poetry bursting forth with relentless energetic expression.
